PRIVATE 1-2-1 THERAPY

I offer face-to-face sessions, lasting 55 minutes, with people over the age of 18.​

The amount of sessions required varies with 8 being the minimum recommended. We would discuss this during the consultation appointment should you wish to proceed. I recognise that therapy is a financial commitment so I offer block booking options, making it easier for you to invest in your mental wellbeing.

 

Throughout the sessions, I will work with you to identify unhealthy thoughts and behaviours, challenge them and replace with healthy versions. I will help you to “re-set” your thinking and provide you with valuable tools to use in daily situations.

ONLINE THERAPY SESSIONS

Due to the Corona Virus outbreak I am now offering online therapy sessions via video link!

This enables me to continue supporting people looking for private therapy during a very distressing and uncertain time.

Sessions follow the same format as a face-to-face appointment, lasting 55 minutes with the same techniques and tools. This is a safe way of still attending therapy and ensuring you look after your mental health.

All you need is a mobile device with a camera, so we can still see each other. A laptop, ipad, tablet or even a camera phone will do.

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION

I offer guided individual or small group Mindfulness Meditation sessions. The practice involves sitting silently and paying attention to the present moment whilst I gently guide your focus to thoughts, sounds, the sensations of breathing or parts of the body. 

 

As with CBT, Mindfulness is also recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as a way to prevent depression in people who have had 3 or more bouts of depression in the past.

Mindfulness Meditation is a recommended treatment for anxiety disorders and can help with building self acceptance.
